Melanie Cheong has over 14 years experience in software development and over that time has specialized in: IT Process and Quality Consulting and Management (definition, review, marketing, Training, Auditing (non conformance investigation),Software Process Assessment and Training and Software Measurement Consulting.

Ms Cheong has a Masters Degree in Engineering and a Bachelor of Science Degree (hons first class) in Computer Science from WITS University, South Africa.

She has worked predominantly in large organizations in the energy, commercial IT, communications sectors and non-profit organisations.

She is a Certified Provisional SPICE Assessor (CPSA) and a Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA). She was the project co-editor of the ISO/IEC 20000-4 Service Management standard and has represented the South African standards body as head of delegation to ISO/IEC JTC1/SC7 and Technical expert and reviewer of many ISO/IEC JTC1/SC7 metrics and quality standards.
