My SCOPE Database will not Open on a CD

I copied my SCOPE database to a CD then tried to read the file and SCOPE reported a message saying that it was "READ ONLY". What can I do?

When your operating system writes to the SCOPE *.FPA file to the CD it changes the properties of the file to "READ ONLY". The first step is to close your open version of SCOPE. Then copy the *.FPA file from the CD to your hard-drive. In Microsoft Explorer, select the file and Right Click on it. Select "Properties" and then uncheck the box that says "READ ONLY". Open SCOPE then select to open the *.FPA file again.
