SCOPE, was developed by Total Metrics, the industry experts in functional sizing, to make function point counting scaleable from a single counter working locally to multiple counters located worldwide maintaining their counts on a single centralised repository. Total Metrics have just released SCOPE 3.0 Corporate,with multi-user and multi-lingual capability. It was designed for organisations that need to have a central repository for their project counts that is maintainable by all their function point counters. SCOPE takes over the configuration management of your function point counts freeing you up to do the counting. It will provide you with a full audit trail of what was changed, when by which counter. However if your counters prefer to work locally or keep their own function point counting history, then SCOPE has unique features to enable them to work on their own databases, that optionally can be later aggregated into the corporate data. SCOPE is the only function point counting tool for organisations who are serious about function point counting.
